I was born ‘Jun Mee Na’ (전미나) in Ulsan, South Korea, August 1996. I was adopted through Holt International and brought to America in November 1996.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to share my story, as well as share my talents and inspire others. Growing up in an Italian/German majority neighborhood, I felt very isolated; like I was the only one of “my kind”. It wasn’t until my high school, college years when I realized there were more people like me out there. I felt the need to create this blog not only to share my short stories, poems and photography but to also share my adoption story and let others know that they are not alone.
I am a lifelong artist with my interests ranging from drawing, painting and photography to poetry and short stories. My inspiration comes from many different sources; from my feelings about current events to the music I listen to day in and day out.
I currently reside in South Jersey. I am an honors graduate from Montclair State University. I received a B.A. in Journalism with a minor in Chinese. If you want to know more about me or my work, you can visit my professional blog at georgiaisalvaryn.com.
